Farmers and other interested parties will get their first chance to check out New Holland’s Precision Land Management (PLM) Intelligence platform, built in-house from the ground up, at the AgQuip Field Days this time next week.

The platform has been built into the company’s new model Genesis T8 Series tractors, which New Holland broadacre product segment manager Marc Smith says have been designed to adapt to every individual farmer’s unique needs.

“Based on first hand input from farmers in the field, we’ve created a tractor that’s literally built for the way they work,” he says.

These features include improvements to connectivity between operators, vehicles, advisors and dealers to improve productivity and reduce downtime, as well as new customisable controls, improved visibility and enhanced operator comfort.

Enhanced operator comfort is a key component of the Genesis T8 Series

Customisable controls allow every operator to adjust based on their unique preferences and requirements. The all-new cab features more accessible storage, increased power ports and vents, egress lights, and an ergonomic seat for optimal comfort.

“The reimagined cab design offers the most comfortable and convenient driver experience, and next-generation intuitive controls that can be easily customised to the tasks at hand,” Smith says.

The in-cab experience has been enhanced to remove obstructions and ensure maximum visibility.

The new InfoView monitor is positioned in direct line-of-sight on the dash so you can keep your eyes on the horizon ahead. New 360-degree LED work lights turn night into day, delivering up to 25 per cent more visible light for greater awareness of surroundings while operating.

The new Genesis T8 with PLM Intelligence features personalisation at its best. From the ergonomic new SideWinder Ultra armrest to the IntelliView 12 inch monitor that delivers enhanced visibility and control, operators have the ability to adjust key features and functions to their individual preferences.

The tablet-based user interface allows the Genesis T8 operator to do more than ever before

The most innovative features extend far beyond the cab with the complete integration of New Holland’s advanced PLM platform, the company’s Australian PLM product segment manager Chris Camilleri says.

“New Holland’s approach to precision farming solutions can be summed up in four words: Open, Connected, Smart and Supported,” he says.

“PLM Intelligence maximises all of those facets, utilising ISOBUS Class III technology to keep you completely connected through MyPLMConnect and APIs to share and analyse your data, and now to enhance support functionality through one’s local New Holland Dealer.”

“This is all through a simple tablet-based user interface, allowing the farmer to do more, and do it easier than ever before,” he says.

The AgQuip Field Days will be held 8km west of Gunnedah, New South Wales, from August 20-22.
