LiuGong appoints AWD Group its Australian distributor

TradeFarmMachinery.com is FIRST to hear news of the partnership between LiuGong Machinery Corporation and AWD Group

The ink is drying on a new contract enlisting the services of capital equipment specialist AWD Group to stock dealers in New South Wales, Queensland & Northern Territory with the LiuGong brand of wheel loaders, excavators, skid steer loaders and forklifts.

Victorian dealers will be supplied with the Chinese machinery giant’s wheel loaders, excavators and skid steer loaders.

AWD Group, which has been importing and distributing Dieci telehandlers into the Australian market since 2000, says it has set its sights on becoming one of Australia’s leading providers of capital equipment.

“Over the years we’ve maintained an absolute focus on customer service, a commitment to supplying quality machines and the development of our national parts and service capability,” says AWD Group Chairman Paul Jenkins, who is based in Australia.

“The partnership with LuiGong will open up a broader range of products to AWD Group customers and to the wider community,” he says.

“A lot of farmers require skid steers, wheel loaders and other equipment like forklifts to complete work on their farms and this gives them another option.

For LuiGong, Jenkins says AWD Group brings to the table a strong reach, local representation and a strong parts and service offering to the market.

“We have been providing capital equipment sales, service and parts support to the Australian and New Zealand market for over 15 years,” he says.

“We have built a strong and loyal customer base via a number of key products, the Dieci Telehandler range being the most well-known, which we introduced to the Australian market over 13 years ago.”

Jenkins adds the partnership will dramatically open the market place for the AWD Group.

“We see the market more than doubling in size over the next three years,” he reveals to TradeFarmMachinery.com.

“This will open more opportunities for AWD Group staff and create more jobs in the market place.

“The new partnership with  LiuGong It has already opened up seven new positions in the company, which now requires a major expansion for head office.”

“We are very excited about this opportunity to bring world class products to Australia – We see this as an opportunity for the existing LiuGong customer base in Australia to receive increased parts and service support in the eastern states”.

Jenkins says the partnership is also an opportunity for existing AWD Group customers to expand their ownership and ensure they are able to get support from one service organisation.

“Customers will be able to hire these machines as well as purchase them via Rough Terrain Plant Hire – who will be adding these machines to their fleet.”

LiuGong is a world class manufacturer of construction and material handling equipment with a total of 24 manufacturing facilities worldwide, employing more than 12,000 people.

The company is in the top 20 largest construction machinery companies in the world with over 16 product lines including Wheel Loaders, Skid Steer Loaders, Bulldozers, Motor Graders and Excavators.

In 2013, LiuGong invested more than US$ 85 million into its R&D program and has just launched a brand new research and development centre in its Liuzhou, China headquarters which boasts a team of over 1,000 engineers working on product development.

The first LiuGong machines for the AWD Group are due to arrive in Australia in February 2016.
