The Seymour Alternative Farming Expo has been held since 1991 and organisers claim it has grown into the most successful alternative farming expo in the Southern Hemisphere and one of the best in the world.

Instead of mainstream broad acre agriculture, the Seymour Alternative Farming Expo focuses on advances in alternative livestock, cropping enterprises, small to medium farm machinery, implements and building systems (home and farm).

The Expo has a strong lifestyle focus including food growing and preparation, animals such as cattle, sheep, goats and backyard chooks

Every year, the event attracts about 450 exhibitors and 45,000 visitors.
