Case IH’s high horsepower tractor series, the four-tracked Steiger Quadtrac made its first public appearance in Tasmania at recent agriculture field days Agfest.

The event was held in Carrick, Tasmania from May 1 to 3.
Tasmanian dealership Farm Machinery Tasmania director Mick Boyd says the company has taken a gamble in bringing in the massive 457hp Steiger Rowtrac 450 for distribution in the state.
“From the interest people has shown in it, it’s going to be a big thing I think,” he says.
He adds the machine would appeal to contractors carrying out tasks on a commercial scale ie tillage and seeding on large broadacre farms.
