Mahindra unveils new sub-compact tractor line-up

Ag equipment manufacturer Mahindra has launched its smallest tractor range yet, the eMax series to cater to land owners and hobby farmers.

The series features 2 models, the eMax 22 featuring 22hp and the eMax25 with 25 hp.

Mahindra says the models, while perfect for the lawn mower market, allow customers to do more than just trim their lawns. Their full length tractor frames allows users to install a backhoe at any time for digging work.

Both models are currently available with front end loaders and mid-mount mowers, with 4-in1 buckets available from October 2014. Backhoes will be available from December 2014.

The eMax range features a full chassis rail, tractor drawbar and three-point linkage like most tractors in the higher horsepower segments.

The range is powered by a Tier IV engine emissions standard compliant, eco-friendly engine and has a 25 litre tank to accommodate enough fuel for a good day’s worth of work.

A Cruise Control system on the tractors with forward/reverse operation allows customers to operate the machines with ease while the self-leveling, quick-attach and quick hitch loader designs allow for fuss-free loader work.

In addition to backhoes, customers can also attach a wide range of attachments and implements to their eMax tractors such as a drive- over steel fabricated 60-inch mower deck, self-level loader, 4in1 bucket, slashers, carryalls, rotary tillers, box scraper blades and post hole diggers.

Prices for the range starts from $12,990 for the eMax22 which comes with a factory backed 3 year, 2000 hour powertrain warranty.
