Case IH releases two new portable FTP engines

Agricultural machinery company Case IH has launched a new range of state-of-the-art portable irrigation engines and Genset power generators

Developed and produced by sister company engine manufacturer FPT Industrial, the new IPU engines are portable.

They feature more than double the current maximum horsepower output (from 240hp to 500hp).

Presenting the new units to 200 of its dealers in Sydney recently, Case IH claimed they demonstrate “ground-breaking achievements in off-road engine development”.

Case IH says the the IPU engines will substantially increase power for pumping to supply high volumes of water across agricultural irrigation including:

  • horizontal pump installations
  • deep well pump installations
  • centre line pivot systems
  • defrost machines

The new engines will also support pump applications such as deflooding systems to transfer water into channels, sludge pump applications for mud drainage, sewage and general drainage.

Powered by diesel, FPT IPUs eliminate the need for electricity and provide a complete solution for agriculture and construction with compact packaging for easier operation and portability.

An electronic injection system optimises engine performance and fuel consumption and is best in class for maintenance with extended intervals for oil change, maximising uptime.

The new FPT Genset engines are a premium, fuel efficient solution designed for prime power applications.

Constructed to produce AC power, Gensets are soundproof generators that offer a compact layout, easily accessible maintenance points and dust and waterproof doors.

They are easily transportable using hooks and forklift pockets.

Made and assembled in Europe, Case IH claims they guarantee lower running costs in continuous operating power and best in class oil intervals (up to 600 hours).

“Genset engines and are specially designed to operate in extreme climate conditions for use in the construction and agriculture industries, data centres and telecoms,” says FPT Industrial Brand Leader Asia Pacific Michelangelo Amelia.

He adds FPT Industrial is committed to bringing the best and most advanced products to the Australian market.

“Working with Case IH, we understand the needs of Australian industry and apply our innovations to optimise efficiency and performance,” he says.

FPT Industrial is the main supplier of engines, axles and gearboxes for Case IH and Case Construction.

It has 10 plants and six research and development centres worldwide and ranks number three in the world in the 2- to 20-litre Industrial Diesel segment.
