Amazone drills get ISOBUS

Amazone has upgraded its Cirrus 03 trailed offset disc/drills and AD-P mounted seed drill combination to include ISOBUS compatibility

Agriculture equipment supplier Amazone says the introduction of ISOBUS technology to its leading Cirrus and ADP products will make precision drilling even simpler for users.

Product Manager Craig Hopkins says ISOBUS technology is becoming increasingly common on new machinery.

“ISOBUS is the internationally-recognised communication protocol for agricultural technology,” he says.

“Put simply, it enables any ISOBUS-compatible implement to be operated from within any ISOBUS-compatible tractor using a suitable terminal.

“This ‘plug and play’ technology enables producers and contractors to standardise the operating systems of all of their machinery, regardless of manufacturer.”

The bottom line, Hopkins adds, is easier operation and significant savings by eliminating the need for two or three separate terminals inside the tractor.

Amazone’s AMATRON 3 and CCI terminals feature easy to recognise symbols, intuitive controls and configurable user interfaces.

Each unit can store up to three different user profiles, allowing the operator to customise the multi-function display and operating functions to their individual requirements.

The terminals include a number of optional task controllers, including GPS guidance, headland and section control and variable application systems.

All job data can be downloaded from the controller via a USB stick.

ISOBUS technology also enables the implement to be controlled using the tractor’s multi-function control lever, if equipped.

“The driver can carry out different operating functions, such as the seeding rate, metering system or section control,” Hopkins says.

“Amazone fertiliser spreaders and crop protection sprayers have featured ISOBUS technology for many years.

“We are excited it has been extended to the AMAZONE range of precision drills,” he says.

“The driver can carry out different operating functions, such as the seeding rate, metering system or section control,” Craig says.
