While the Case IH Patriot 2230 may be dwarfed by its 4430 and 3330 cousins, it is certainly ready for the party
Key features:
- Case IH FPT engine – 175 base hp/190 peak hp
- AccuBoom Automatic Boom Section
- AutoBoom Automatic Boom Height control
Despite its size, the Patriot 2230 does pack a punch with a 175hp FPT engine and the same technology offerings as the larger Patriot models.
Case IH says the grunt from under the bonnet, combined with its array of features, makes it perfect for vegetable farmers to cotton growers.
“Its capabilities in the field are proof you can get all the features of a big sprayer in a small-chassis package,” Case IH ANZ high horsepower/sprayer product manager Alyx Selsmeyer says.
“This is a cost-efficient machine with the Patriot DNA – consistent and accurate application every time in all conditions; great fuel economy and cab comfort that delivers on even the longest of days.”
Another unique feature of the 2230 is that it has the highest clearance of all the Patriot models.
“It has the greatest distance from the ground to the lowest point on the underbelly of the machine, which, depending on what you’re producing, makes it very appealing,” Selsmeyer adds.
Other features of the Patriot 2230 include: that comfortable Patriot cab, 2,498-litre-capacity tank, AccuGuide autoguidance system as standard, as well as the AutoBoom Automatic Boom Height control and AccuBoom Automatic Boom Section control.
AccuBoom Automatic Boom Section control automatically turns off boom sections when entering an area that has already been sprayed. When leaving the applied area, sections are turned back on.
Meanwhile, AutoBoom Automatic Boom Height control detects changes in terrain and adjusts the booms accordingly.
“The charm of the 2230 is that it’s an entry-level machine that doesn’t compromise on efficiency, durability or comfort,” Selsmeyer says.
