Case IH has added three new models to its Patriot sprayer range, with technology at the forefront of its redesign
Case IH’s popular Patriot sprayer has undergone a complete redesign, with three new models now available for Australian farmers.
The Patriot 50 series models are packed with a host of new features, including a redesigned cabin and technological additions aimed at enhancing connectivity and remote management.
“It’s an exciting expansion of our self-propelled application equipment line-up with three new models – the Patriot 3250, 4350, and 4450,” Case IH ANZ Product Manager Patriot Sprayers Jason Wood says.
“This has been a comprehensive redesign of one of our flagship models and the benefits are obvious from the first time you sit in the cab: more comfortable to operate, complete vehicle control, and technology features offered for the first time in the Patriot.”
One of the key enhancements is in the expansion of the AIM Command spray system featured in previous Patriot models.
There is now the option for farmers to add the AIM Command Flex II – which offers six models of operation to add a new level of accuracy and control through customising chemical application rates, pressure and droplet size plus individual nozzle on-off control for increased precision.
Case IH’s MultiControl armrest, which Wood says has been popular with existing Steiger and Magnum tractor users, is now a feature of the Patriot 50 series sprayers.
AFS Connect technology, which the manufacturer says provides “unmatched connectivity, guidance, data and monitoring solutions for any operation” is now offered in the Patriot, with all sprayers including an AFS Connect-compatible modem and a five-year subscription to the service.
“With AFS Connect, operators can, for example, view and store their application maps from season to season, or track a machine’s location, parameters and progress during jobs to help with planning tasks,” Wood says.
“There are so many options, and opportunities, for every type, and size, of farm business.”
Case IH has also added the ability to perform wireless file transfers, share guidance lines, create prescription maps, share data, manage fleets and product control through its technological solutions.
An AFS Vector Pro receiver provides reliable and consistent terrain-compensated position and helps operators quickly determine guidance lines.
Other additions include a four-bar linkage chassis suspension system to increase stability and control, a new centre section design to minimise boom yaw and strong and durable booms with a suspension design to provide a stable platform for product application.
Inside the cabin, providing maximum and unrestricted visibility has been a design focus, while two customisable displays – the AFS Pro 1200 and the Viper 4+ – allow users to see exactly which data is most important to them.
The Patriot 4350 and 4450 models have increased transport speeds of up to 59.5km/h and the two models have tank capacities of 4,542L and 6,057L respectively.
Case IH has also made maintenance easy through a one-stop, centrally located service centre.
Wood says the manufacturer’s main priority with the new sprayers was to help users maximise their yield potential and he believes this has been achieved.
“We’re confident we’ve achieved that with the 50 series, keeping the features that are tried and tested, like the forward cab/rear engine design that works so well, but then adding and re-designing where necessary to ensure the highest levels of spraying accuracy and efficiency, and offer industry-leading connectivity and remote management capabilities,” he says.
