Established in 1953, the Industrie Forum Design awards promote excellence in industrial design, and this year’s awards attracted almost 5600 entries from 59 countries across 15 different categories, including product, packaging, communication and architecture.

Each entry was assessed for design, innovation, functionality, manufacturing quality, safety and environmental compatibility.

The Jaguar 900 won an iF Product Award, while the RTK Field Base won an iF Gold Award, with the jury praising their harmonious blend of technology and aesthetics.

“In presenting a Product Award to the Jaguar 900, the jury noted the high performance machine’s striking appearance and harmonious details,” Claas says.

“Its elegant lines are the result of a close partnership between Claas and the German firm Budde Industrie Design in Munster.

“The Claas RTK Field Base mobile GPS transmitter was recognised for achieving a perfect balance between function and form,” the company adds.

“The unit, which transmits GPS signals up to 6km away to provide a guidance accuracy of between 2cm and 3cm, is easy to set up and operate.”

Previous iF Design Awards have gone to Claas’s Axion 800 tractor, Jaguar 800 forage harvester and Scorpion 9055-7044 telescopic loaders.
