TD3601 Tyne Direct Drill
The TD series has been designed as the ultimate pasture tyne drill.
The drought highlighted the shortcomings of current pasture tyne equipped direct drills
-Lack of penetration - especially with front disc coulters engaged
-Lack of trash handling capability - especially with disc-coulters dis-enagaged
-Hard bottomed, open, tilth-less seed slots - exacerbated by damaged/worn baker boots
-Lack of tilth and seed cover
The DOYLE TD drill design has addressed all these issues plus more
-Unique design with extendable toolbars for a 3.6m working width but only 3.05m transport width
-100x100x9mm RHS and 16mm 350 grade plate frame makes for an extra heavy duty machine with built-in penetrating weight
-5 1/2 toolbars on 550mm spacings for superior trash handling capability
-Double M16 U-bolted 25mm coil tynes for tight toolbar clamping (32mm coil tynes available) on 150mm row spacings
-Single bolt BOSS3 McCoy lucerne points
-Narrow 10mm wide x 75mm deep tungsten tile
-Low disturbance at shallow or deep levels
-Longer life - unlike a baker boot, rock damage to the tip does not seriously affect operation
-Single bolt BOSS1 cast baker boots available
-Hydraulically lowered harrow bar for seed coverage - superior seed coverage but does not impact on transport, agility or reversing of machine - standard 12mm x 4-row - 10mm and 16mm available
-In-frame wheel assemblies for improved ground following ability
-315/70-22.5 super single truck tyres on 5.5Tonne Titan hubs (Australian made)
