Deutz-Fahr announce the new 4065E and 4080E model tractors, ideal for livestock and lifestyle farming.

Ideal for livestock, vineyard, dairy and lifestyle farming
- Tier 3 compliant engines
The latest Deutz-Fahr 4E series tractors are powered by liquid-cooled, three- or four-cylinder turbocharged and intercooled engines, with hydraulic roller tappets (HRT) exhaust gas recirculation technology.
PFG Australia Deutz product manager Anthony Darveniza says the 4065E tractor is now available, with the 4080E tractor scheduled for a September release.
The 4065E features a 62hp SDF 3-cylinder turbocharged engine, while the 4080E has the larger 75hp 4-cylinder turbocharged and intercooled Tier 3 compliant engine.
The automated system monitors a set of engine parameters, and optimises engine function by adjusting injection accordingly. It’s designed for simplicity, and lets the driver set, store and recall the appropriate engine speed for the job.
The standard power take-off (PTO) features an independent mechanical control with a dedicated clutch. The groundspeed PTO, available as standard, provides 540 rpm. An eco-mode is available as an addition.
“The engine size and capacity allow the engine to run PTO speeds at lower RPM,” Darveniza says, adding: “This gives two benefits: better fuel efficiency and lower noise levels.”
The 4 Series transmission automatically provides an ideal ratio for each task. The 30+15 configuration consists of a five-speed gearbox with three work ranges and under drive, the latter selected from a control integrated in the reverse shuttle lever.
The four-wheel-drive version takes that up to 40km/h and incorporates creep gears.
The hydrostatic steering system is fed by an independent pump for smooth, light steering even at low engine speeds.
A steering angle of 55 degrees, mechanical position, draft and mixed control modes for the rear lift combine to improve precision with any implement. Also helping with accurate control are a hydraulic oil flow rate of 42 l/min and 4- or 6-way distributors (the latter on the 4080E model only).
The 4065E has a maximum load capacity of 2500kg, while the 4080E is capable of 3490kg.
The Deutz-Fahr 4E series are equipped with all-wheel multidisc wet brakes which, together with the tractor’s excellent weight to power ratio, make for highly efficient braking. The four-wheel-drive system comes with 100 percent lockable front and rear differentials.
The air-conditioned cabins are fitted with climate control and designed for comfort, with ergonomically positioned controls enabling precise work with any implement. Deutz-Fahr says noise and vibration issues have been targeted at the development stage.
Darveniza says there are a number of additional standard features that make the 4E Series tractors very affordable.
“They have a heavy-duty three-point linkage with the new Easylift function that enables the operator to lift and lower linkage with a switch,” he says. “There’s also a heavy-duty front axle with superior turning circle and front and rear diff lock.
“In addition, you get two sets of rear remotes and adjustable radial wheel equipment.”
Darveniza says the models sit at the entry level of the brand’s cabin series with 62hp being the smallest size offered in Australia.
Deutz-Fahr 4065E price $51,920.
Deutz-Fahr 4080E price $59,900.
Both prices include GST and a level-lift loader.
