(Sponsored Content) For 20 years, Australian family-owned company Grain Logic has been serving the needs of Australian farmers by providing world-class grain-handling equipment. Founded by Philip Haeusler and his wife Joanne, Grain Logic was built on a long family history in agricultural machinery trading. Born and bred in the Mallee, Victoria, Phil worked for many years in the family farm machinery business. Working closely with his father, he built an extensive knowledge and network in the machinery industry, and learnt the importance of being adaptable to changes in the industry.

In 1995, Phil embarked on a new venture with the formation of his own business, Grain Logic. The first product imported by Grain Logic was the Saukundiak grain auger, a product developed by a family-owned business in the heart of Canada’s grain-growing province of Saskatchewan. A relationship between the Sakundiak and Grain Logic team was formed, and the grain auger technology was developed with this broader customer base in mind.

Following a number of mergers and acquisitions, the Sakundiak grain auger was acquired and rebranded Meridian. Meridian is a world leader in developing storage and handling solutions; with 65 years’ experience the company has expanded to six manufacturing locations across North America and Canada. Meridian maintains an unwavering commitment to quality and works closely with the team at Grain Logic to ensure the product line accommodates the needs of Australian farmers.

Such is the company’s commitment to the Australian market, earlier this year Meridian’s director of international sales joined Philip Haeusler to personally meet with farmers and distributors across Queensland, NSW, Victoria and Western Australia to understand the diversity and on-farm challenges across our country.

With access to Meridian’s storage and handling equipment, Grain Logic has enjoyed rapid expansion and has established an extensive dealer network. Key to this expansion strategy is the commitment to its company values of customer service, providing quality products and ensuring flexibility to responding to trends in the industry. In short, Grain Logic strives to deliver Australian farmers quality and innovation at a competitive price, whilst ensuring reliability of supply and after-sales service.

Products available from Grain Logic include Meridian silos, storage bins and sheds; Convey All belt conveyors; and of course, the Meridian grain auger. The auger product range includes conventional augers through to swing-away augers.

Haeusler says: “Farmers love these augers as they are safe, easy to maintain and extremely efficient”. The grain silo range includes a vertical natural grain drying aeration system, along with a horizontal aeration system.

Grain storage rings are also available to provide a low-cost alternative and are ideal for temporary solution to storing excess grain. The grain sheds offer a bulk storage solution with unique design features that ensure cool, dry storage conditions.

The introduction of Convey All to the product line, also recently acquired by Meridian, has significantly expanded the versatility of the grain-handling range. Convey All Industries bring 30 years of research and development, and provide infinite flexibility to commodity handling. The range includes self-propelled transloading conveyors, high-capacity tube conveyors and transfer conveyors along with commercial seed tenders.

Grain Logic has also targeted other Canadian farm equipment suppliers, including Ag Shield land rollers and complementary accessories such as auger movers, storage level sensors and grain moisture monitors.

Haeusler says he takes “great satisfaction in assisting his dealer network to provide a complete storage and handling solution for all customers. No customer is too big or too small for our products. We can provide a competitive and quality handling solution for all scale farmers and a range of commodities.”
