Also known as the Gippsland Field Days, this year’s show will focus on how farmers can use resources more efficiently and responsibly with the aim of improving profitability while preserving the environment.

Farmworld 2013 will shine the spotlight on sustainability and women in agriculture

The event will be held at Lardner Park, Warragul Victoria from March 21-24.

Now in its 51st year, Farm World is one of the largest agricultural field day events in Australia, attracting visitors from all across Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.

Over 550 exhibitors have been confirmed to display their goods at the show this year.

According to organiser Lardner Park Events, the show has been known to attract between 50,000 and 55,000 visitors over the four days each year.

In addition to the theme of sustainability, Farm World 2013 will also shine the spotlight on women in agriculture, with a luncheon to be held on the first day.

Guest speakers at the luncheon will include Sue-Pieters Hawke, daughter of former Prime Minister Bob Hawke, and 2007 Australian Rural Woman of the Year Deb Bain. Presentations by several prominent female figures in the agricultural field are scheduled to follow.

Other highlights of this year's event include new product demonstrations during and after the four day event, to be carried out at allocated paddocks; as well as the "Farm World - Tractor & Machinery Association of Australia Farm Machine of the Year" Awards.
