EVENT: Australian National Field Days 2014

One of the oldest farming field days in the country, the Australian National Field Days will return in October this year from the 23rd to the 25th.

Run by the Orange Field Days Co-op Ltd, the field days has become one of Australia’s most well-known farming events.

Last year, the field days attracted over 600 exhibitors to display their wares and organisers are expecting similar numbers this year.

Visitors can expect a great range of products and services on display including agricultural machinery, livestock, financial services and more.

Every year, several NAB Awards of Excellence are handed out to exhibitors who put forward machinery or practices that focus on innovation, value for money, high standards of design and engineering etc.

School students will also be treated to a fun, educational experience at the event whereby they can ask experienced producers questions, identify different crops, meat cuts, fruits and more.

In addition to shopping for their next farm equipment, visitors will be able to see a number of machinery in action at the demo grounds. This includes ATVs, 4WD, haymaking tools, tillage machinery and more.

Other programs include sheep dog trials, fashion parades, cooking demonstrations, live country music and helicopter joy flights.
