The Hunter Valley’s premier agricultural event, the Tocal field days will happen this year from May 1 to 3.
The field days is the ideal event for a fun family day out or for hobby farmers and rural dwellers to shop for the latest innovations in the agricultural market.
Last year, the Tocal field days attracted 18,000 visitors through the gates.
Visitors can find everything from tractors to solar technology, and from construction machinery to livestock exhibited at the event.
Fresh produce and fine wine, which the Hunter Valley region is known for, will also be a highlight of the field days.
Several fun-filled activities unique to the event include a “Bake or Burn” baking competition, a ute muster, a beanie knitting competition, and even a billy boiling competition.
This year, the show is introducing the “Talent at Tocal” program in which young and talented artists chosen from a live audition in March will perform to the public.
Other events patrons can expect at the field days include cooking demonstrations, live country entertainment, free craft activities for the young ones and more.
