The new and improved Mildura field days will be back this month from May 22 to 23.
Since moving to a weekend format a few years ago, organisers say the show have been attracting more visitors and exhibitors than ever before.
From agricultural machinery to farm produce; and small local businesses to educational science exhibits, the show features something for everyone in the family to see, buy and do.
Today, the Mildura Field Days still pays homage to how it all started – a base for horticulturalists and dried fruit growers to exhibit their self-invented wares and products.
Organisers hand out awards to horticulturalists who have done outstanding work or have invented equipment that has the potential to change the face of the industry.
The event also focuses on education, whereby the younger generation gets to experience interactive science exhibitions and a “Future Farmers Walk” where they learn all about the basics of agriculture.
Visitors also stand a chance of winning the gate prize of a John Deere lawn tractor courtesy of Hausler’s Group.
