As the name suggests, Farm Implements delivers a range of implements from quality manufacturers that are well suited to Australian conditions
For Melbourne-based Farm Implements, the name tells the story.
Specialising in all things related to tractor implements, the second-generation Australian-owned business offers a wide range of agricultural equipment including slashers and rotary cutters, flail mulchers, rotary hoes, power harrows, fertiliser spreaders, grader blades, cultivators and harrows, post-hole diggers, bale spikes, rakes and mixers.

Kanga has produced quality Australian tractor implements since 1983
|
Its headquarters are in the Melbourne suburb of Pakenham; however its specialised range of products is available nationwide thanks to the wide dealer network which covers Australia.
Farm Implements specialises in the Kanga, Cosmo and Cosmo Bully brands, all of which offer unique points of difference for customers.
“We offer some of the best products in the market today for our customers,” Farm Implements general manager Tim Alcott says.
“Our focus is on all things that are suited to the three-point linkage of a tractor.”
Kanga
Described as Farm Implements’ ‘house brand’, Kanga Farm Equipment has 40 years of manufacturing history and its products are developed for Australian conditions.
One of the biggest benefits is the ability for Farm Implements to manufacture in-house, allowing tractor implements to be customised to suit any customer’s specific needs.
“The design, engineering and manufacturing of our Kanga Farm Equipment implements is controlled in-house, enabling us to continually develop and enhance our products,” Alcott says.
“Often they will ask for high-tensile skid runners and strengthening of wear areas, upgrades to cutter bars, modifications to discharge and blade rotation.
“Each farmer has a different idea of what works in their specific applications and we have the ability to modify, customise and provide that end user with what they require.”
Another advantage of in-house manufacturing is the fact Farm Implements has developed its products based on dealer and user feedback, ensuring farmers are getting something refined over four decades to ensure it is perfectly suited to what Australians need.

Cosmo, Italian manufacturer of fertiliser spreaders and agricultural equipment
|
Cosmo
Italian company Cosmo Srl is a global leader in fertiliser spreader manufacturing, while also excelling in cement mixer and sand/salt spreader production.
Founded in 1987, Cosmo has stood the test of time and now produces over 25,000 units each year.
Farm Implements’ partnership as the Australian distributor goes back to Cosmo’s founding.
A full range of trailed and three-point linkage spreaders is available and Cosmo is embracing new technology to keep delivering quality products at competitive prices.
“It is evident that they are continuously looking to further develop their Italian-made products but also expanding their product offering in the Cosmo Bully brand as well,” Alcott says.
Cosmo Bully
The newest brand into Farm Implements’ range, Cosmo Bully was introduced to Australia in 2015.
Founded as a joint venture between Cosmo Srl and the world’s largest manufacturer of rotary hoes, Cosmo Bully is a combined approach towards quality machinery.
The Cosmo Bully range consists of rotary hoes between 20-140hp (15-104kW), flail mulchers between 18-100hp (13-75kW) and power harrows between 50-160hp (37-119kW).
While European engineers are responsible for the product design, Alcott says Farm Implements plays an active role in product development through providing local feedback and testing.
“There’s European feedback coming into that product and we are part of that development team – testing product here, providing feedback,” he says.
“The Cosmo Bully brand is a real collaboration to make sure that those implements that we offer under the Cosmo Bully brand are just as good as anything on the market, but they are affordable tractor implements.
“We are capitalising on the volume and buying power of the manufacturing facility.
“It’s a very exciting time for agriculture to see a company investing in tractor implements to produce quality products at the most affordable prices.”
The full range of Farm Implements products can be viewed at the company’s website.
