U.S based design engineer Al Myers was on to something big when he realised the need for on-the-go yield monitoring systems in the agricultural market back in 1986.
From his basement, Myers, who was born into a farming family worked hard on his concepts and eventually came up with the first viable yield monitoring system in 1992. He left his day job, depleted his savings and eventually started up Ag Leader Technology.
More than 20 years on, Ag Leader is now one of the world’s leading providers of precision agriculture technology with offices set up across the world in North America, Europe, South America and Australia.
