A former banana plantation in Queensland’s Daintree Rainforest could be the ultimate mix of country life and sea-change.

We’ve all seen some magnificent views in our lives – great sweeping coastlines or massive green forests with barely a man-made structure in sight. Rarely would you get both, unless you lived here, that is.

Listed on FarmBuy.com, the property boasts 150 hectares (371 acres) of land with about 90ha of that being until recently occupied by organically certified banana crops.

"This naturally productive land was until recently internationally leased, but is now offered without an ongoing lease – either for continued banana production or any other uses the new owner may wish – as the seller prepares for diversification into other organically certified produce with potential supply contracts to Australia's biggest supermarkets," agency LJ Hooker Port Douglas says.

"Being a fruit and vegetable wholesaler, the seller can assist any buyer with the supply and marketing relationships to Australia's major supermarkets."

The investment could be a timely step ahead of the market, as national organic produce revenue is expected to rise 4.3 per cent through 2016-17.

Overall fruit and vegetable consumption is rising as Australians become increasingly aware of their health, so this could be a good chance to get into the market early.

A huge production shed is included in the sale, with multiple bays suitable for sorting and packing produce.

The shed is serviced by bore and dam supplied water, as well as solar power.

Aside from the successful banana crop history and gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean and Daintree River, the property boasts a four-bedroom, two-storey house with balconies and a rock-waterfall pool.

If that’s not enough, the property is located under two hours from Cairns and just 10 minutes from the  Daintree River vehicle ferry which also offers water access for boating, fishing or crabbing.

The agency adds that "three lots are available, although a parcel with a dwelling may be excluded by negotiation".
