The sprawling Queensland property of Kinagin is approximately 888ha in size and boasts a myriad of benefits for any discerning farmer.

Located in Bucca, in the Western Bundaberg region, the farm has seven freehold titles and seven kilometres of prime river frontage.

The agency listing, which can be found on our sister site Farmbuy.com, says the property has some impressive infrastructure including a low-set four bedroom "Queenslander" style home (circa 1945) with approximately 240m2 in fair condition.

What’s more, the property also has a 18x12m steel lockup workshop with staff amenities, a 61x30m high clearance machinery shed and an 24x12m fully enclosed and lockable steel storage shed.

Kinagin also benefits from three car bays and a 55,000 litre fuel tank.

The property currently has roughly 150 head of breeder cattle and comes with a timber cattle yard with loading ramp and drafting facilities capable of a 500 head capacity.

Kinagin has approximately 337ha of prime cultivation land and currently has 307ha of planted sugar cane, which when fully planted produces a whopping 20,000 tonne per season.

In addition, the property also has the distinct advantage of being well irrigated thanks to the following benefits:

  • 447 megalitres (mL) water allocation form the freshwater Kolan River
  • 150mL was from the Haig Dam
  • Six fully licenced un-metred bores which supply 2mL per day
  • Two lagoons with a combined capacity of approximately 90mL
  • Three dams with a combined capacity of approximately 1030mL
  • Two tail waster dams
  • A total water availability per year in excess of 2000mL

To utilise all this water, the property employs an underground pipeline network that covers all areas of cultivation and also comes with six water winches.

If all these benefits have piqued your interest then be prepared to pay big dollars, as Kinagin is currently on the market for $5,500,000. However, this price does include all farming machinery and equipment currently being used on the property and the 2015 sugar cane crop which is estimated to yield more than 20,000 tonne.
