Situated in Ramsay, in the Darling Downs, the Jangharm stud was built from scratch when the property was purchased by its current owners in the late 1990s.

The stunning elevated parcel of open basalt has been selectively cleared and features two homes.

Selling agent Trevor Leishman says the stud’s main home is something to acknowledge.

“The main home was built by the owner and has stunning cathedral ceilings,” he says. “It also faces north, capturing some truly impressive views of the Darling Downs.”

Its 1999 Martin Fallon-built home features three bedrooms, with an ensuite and walk-in-robe connected to the master bedroom. A spacious, high-ceilinged living area, a study and a gauzed verandah top this home off.

The manager’s home is quaint, and features a front verandah, an open plan living area, a modern kitchen and air conditioning for when the Toowoomba summer begins to heat up.

In terms of water, Jangharm uses a 103m-deep electric bore which pumps into a 5000-gallon (22,700-litre) tank. This then supplies water to the two houses via its electric pressure pump. A 20,000 gallon (100,000-litre) concrete tank is used for rainwater collection.

The property consists of 12 fenced paddocks designed to limit stress on horse and handler, leading to a central round yard and showing facility.

In terms of horsing facilities, Jangharm has it covered with its fully enclosed 20m x 14 barn, and drive-through stables.

These stables include 8m x 4m x 3.4m horse boxes, all timber-lined with galvanised steel frames and partitions.

To top it off, a feed and tack room is also present as is a horse grooming-shoeing area, and a vet crush.

The Elders Toowoomba agency believes this is an underrated property.

“The sale is an excellent opportunity for any horse enthusiast, whether they are of equestrian, cutting and roping or stud backgrounds, a truly excellent property,” Leishman says.
