Since opening its doors in 2004, Alfasi Hire has garnered a fleet of 2000 vehicles, 60 of which are telehandlers that the company provides for hire for construction, mining, agriculture and infrastructure projects.

Alfasi Hire general manager Gary Murphy says JCB’s vehicle tech is a key to their business.

“At Alfasi Hire we continually improve and reinvest in the latest technology on the market,” Murphy says. “That’s why we chose to purchase the three JCB telehandlers over other brands in the market.

“We make a point of difference to have the newest fleets, with the top machines from leading manufacturers,” Murphy adds. “It’s very important that every machine in our fleet is in line with the stringent safety requirements we have outlined, and JCB provides those features and more.”

The 525-60 Agri Plus telehandler offers a 55kW engine, a lift capacity of 2500kg with its boom retracted and a lift height of 6m. JCB says the 525-60 stands out due to its visibility, its manoeuvrability and its Vari-speed transmission that allows operators to preselect a forward speed.

Murphy says Alfasi’s decision to buy three new 525-60 Agri Plus telehandlers was influenced by JCB’s quality and safety standards.

“We make sure to have a point of difference with our machines and the JCB 525-60 telehandler offers great specifications, the best equipment in its class and ISO safety accreditation, so it was a top choice right from the beginning” he says.

“We currently have a JCB Teletruck and now three 525-60 Agri Plus telehandlers, and we certainly will continue to make more additions in the future.”

Alfasi Hire employs 85 staff and services the Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Darwin areas.
