A stock fencing company in WA has substantially increased productivity with a Toyota Huski 5SDK-9 skid steer loader.

Aussie Stockyards operates out of Wagin, roughly 230km south of Perth, and builds galvanised steel fencing for sheep and cattle yards on site as continuous panelling, using a coil feed-line machine.
Earlier this year the company placed an order with Toyota Material Handling Australia for a Huski 5SDK-9 skid steer loader to load trucks and prepare the ground on fencing installation jobs.
Aussie has been using the Huski to level and clear ground, to drill post-holes with the auger attachment, and to load and unload the trucks. The company says the skid steer has helped expand the group’s versatility.
“It has given us greater flexibility,” Aussie Stockyards owner Troy Watt says. “We have a Palfinger crane attached to our main truck, but having the Huski means we don’t have to dig post-holes by hand when working under sheds and such.
“We’ve been very busy in the last few months and the loader has helped us keep up with demand.”
The Toyota Huski 5SDK-9 is powered by a 44kW Toyota 2Z diesel, has an operating load of 730kg and has a dump height at 45 degrees of 2,290mm.
Toyota Materials Handling Australia (TMHA) Perth area sales manager Dan Rhodes says Aussie Stockyards’ innovative and successful use of Huski 5SDK-9 highlights the versatility of the machine.
