The Emu backhoe range, distributed in Australia by Queensland company Midway Sales, is believed to be gathering a reputation as an all-round package.

Available in three sizes and suitable for tractors in 25-100hp range, Emu implements can be mounted to Category 1 and 2 and 3 point linkages.

Midway Sales’ Scott Spring-Brown says the Emu backhoe range is a convenient and premium Korean product.

“The backhoe easily fits onto the 3 point linkage of just about any tractor and is powered by the tractors hydraulic system. Increasing the versatility of a tractor, the backhoe can trench for footings, drainage, plumbing and electrical work.

“Emu backhoes can also be put to work for general digging for jobs such as tree planting or stump removal plus it is great for clearing dams and drains,” he adds.

“Emu implements carry the benefit of South Korean manufacturing expertise, with outstanding value pricing and are tough enough for rugged Australian conditions,” Midway Sales says.

The Emu backhoe range can be attached and removed simply. The operator also has the benefit of a comfortable, padded seat with a safety belt and easy-to-use joystick controls.

Its boom rotates 180-degrees and its curved design provides allows for a greater digging depth (2 – 2.7 metres depending on the model) with less wall damage and better viewing.

A high lift also enables materials to be lifted onto high mounds, while individually controlled support legs provide superior stability in operation. A range of optional attachments such as a narrow trenching bucket, wide mud buckets, half hitch or a ripper are also available.

Midway Sales says the Emu backhoe is manufactured from high grade steel.
