Product Focus: Faresin Leader mixer wagon

The Faresin Leader PF 2.26 self-propelled vertical mixer wagon offers a host of features designed to increase efficiency, reliability and ease of use

With a capacity of 26 cubic metres and maximum load of 9,100kg, the 2.26 is both powerful and versatile.

The Ecomix version of the 2.26 features a hydrostatic transmission engineered with three operating modes to adapt to a variety of uses.

Mode 1 is designed for speeds of up to 8km/h for applications where higher sensitivity is desirable. In mode 2, speeds of up to 15km/h can be used when mixing and moving feed, and in mode 3 speeds of up to 30km/h can be used for road transfers.

The Ecomode version of the 2.26, also equipped with a three-mode hydrostatic transmission, can reduce fuel consumption and emissions by up to 20 per cent and features speeds of up to 8, 20 and 40km/h.

Ease of use and operator safety are the fundamental features of the cabin control centre, with increased visibility thanks to the wide cab glass with negative tilt, and ease of control with the PF Control joystick.

Particular attention has been focused on operator comfort with the introduction of air conditioning and pressurisation, and an interactive seven-inch (17cm) colour display with contextual menu keeps updated information at the operator’s fingertips.

The Durostat power blade dramatically enhances the durability of the auger and ensures correct flow of the products inside the mixing tank. Mixing is achieved through a fountain effect (bottom to top) for single-auger models and also with a figure-eight effect.

It is possible to adjust the speed of the augers at different loading stages in relation to the mixing phase, so the mixture is ready for distribution at the end of loading.

The three-speed loader arm features a width of 2,000mm and a drum diameter of 700mm on the Leader Ecomode or 600mm for Ecomix, and milling cutters in the Ecomix/Ecomode line reach a power of up to 150 horsepower.

The 800mm wide loading channel is the largest available on the market, Faresin says, and combined with a loading capacity of 10 cubic metres per minute, the 2.26 guarantees a rapid and continuous flow.

Users can also stay up to date on the nutritional content of feed blends with Faresin Industries’ exclusive PFM (precision feed management) system.

PFM keeps users constantly up to date on the nutritional content of their feed blends, and thanks to the patented homogeneity and selection indexes, managing mixing will be simple and accurate.
