Foton Stocks Up on Parts and Service Staff

Strong growth has led to Foton Tractors’ distributor National Machinery appointing a number of key new spare parts and after-sales service staff

Foton Tractors’ distributor National Machinery has appointed three new staff members to the company: David McPherson, David McDonald and Melanie Cook.

General Manager Greg Nicholson says with the extraordinary growth of the company, it identified a need for experienced and professional staff to help take the business to the next level, especially in parts and after-sales service.

Newly-appointed Workshop Manager David McPherson says that having worked on tractors for the past 21 years and gaining first-hand experience with many brands during that time, he can confidently say Foton tractors are clearly the market leader in this segment.

“Chinese tractors in today’s marketplace vary in performance, build quality and reliability,” McPherson says.

I can say with certainty that Foton tractors are clearly the best tractor to come out of China today and for that reason I was excited to be asked to become a part of the team here at National Machinery.”

With more than a decade of China tractor import experience and knowledge McPherson joins a team committed to ensuring every Foton tractor, old or new, is fully supported locally.

He adds low cost of ownership is a high priority for National Machinery. Greg Nicholson says that with models ranging from 25hp (18.4kW) through to 82hp (60.3kW), National Machinery has a tractor to suit most buyers requirements.

“We also offer a full range of Field Chief-branded attachments and can tailor a package deal to meet your specific needs,” he adds.

“Every buyer has their own particular jobs to do around the property and for that reason we tend not to offer fixed tractor and implement packages.

“Some customers want a wood chipper or grader blade while others may have a need for a backhoe or post hole digger. Regardless we can most certainly tailor a very competitive package deal ideally suited to your needs.”

National Machinery is also able to provide finance rates as low as 4.95 percent on tractor packages for ABN holders through finance partner De Lage Landen.

It is currently offering finance on the Foton 82hp four wheel drive tractor with 4-in-1 self-levelling loader with monthly repayments as low as $500.

National Machinery has branches in Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales, staffed by sales and service personnel to assist with the purchase and ongoing service of its machines.

Its spare parts and service department is fully computerised with a direct link to the factory. National Machinery also has a dedicated 1800 number to make sure customers are able to get assistance quickly, including delivery of an extensive range of spare parts and consumables housed at its 1,100m2 facility in Queensland. Orders are dispatched by courier overnight.
