Hort Connections 2025 celebrates largest conference

Australia’s premier horticulture industry event – Hort Connections – took place earlier this month with its largest ever conference

More than 220 exhibitors and around 4,200 delegates were welcomed to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre for this year’s Hort Connections.

Run by AUSVEG and the International Fresh Produce Association Australia-New Zealand, Australia’s largest horticultural event took place from June 4-6, with a packed schedule over all three days.

The focal point of the event was Hort Connections’ trade show, which presented delegates with the latest machinery and technology in the market.

Some of the largest agricultural OEMs exhibited, including John Deere, New Holland, Kubota, Massey Ferguson and Fendt.

Speaker sessions complemented the tradeshow, with various industry figures taking the stage to discuss the most pressing issues and topics in horticulture.

An industry breakfast accompanied by a keynote speaker marked the beginning of the trade show, while a gala dinner concluded the event with the announcement of the Horticulture Awards for Excellence winners.

Visitors also had the option to attend several off-site farm tours before the conference began, enabling them to learn from some of the region’s most innovative horticulture growers.

Building on the success of the event, Hort Innovation – the grower-owned, not-for-profit research and development corporation for Australia’s horticulture industry – signed a six-year agreement to continue as Hort Connections’ Principal Convention Partner until 2031.

Extensive coverage of Hort Connections will feature in the July and August editions of Farms & Farm Machinery.
