ANZ wins CANSTAR Agribusiness award

The bank has been presented with the CANSTAR Best Value Australia Agribusiness award for a record breaking fourth year in a row.

ANZ Regional Business Banking General Manager Tania Motton says the bank is committed to providing specialised banking to agribusinesses, built around customer and industry knowledge to enable its customers to grow.

“Winning this award for the fourth time acknowledges not only ANZ’s strong product suite but the valuable contribution we make to the agribusiness industry through our expertise and market insights,” she says.

In ANZ’s recent insight report – “Greener Pastures: The Global Soft Commodity Opportunity for Australia and New Zealand”, ANZ states that Australia stands to capture up to $1.7 trillion in agricultural exports by 2050.

“Our footprint across Asia Pacific means ANZ is best positioned to help agribusinesses play an integral role in developing the food bowl for Asia,” Motton says.

“ANZ is committed to the economic development and wellbeing of the rural sector, which is a key part of our Banking on Australia program, and this award is a testament to the commitment and efforts of our people to position ANZ as Australia’s best value regional bank.”

Leading financial research company CANSTAR hands out the Best Value Australia Agribusiness award every year alongside a number of other ratings and awards such as the Innovation Excellence Award, Youth Banking and Education award etc.

According to CANSTAR, the Best Value Australia Agribusiness award was given to ANZ due to the strong value the bank offers across all three segments CANSTAR compare for the award – business deposits, business finance and institutional factors.

Some institutional factors CANSTAR considers for the award include relationship managers, range of additional products and services, online banking functionality, information and educations services and other specialist services.
