John Deere recall 120R loaders over hazard

If improperly ballasted, the tractor could become unstable and create an injury risk, ACCC says.

A national recall on John Deere 120R loaders

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has recalled John Deere's 120R loaders due to missing information about the proper ballast  from the operator’s manual.

The 120R loader attaches to John Deere 2025R tractors. If improperly ballasted, the tractor could become unstable and create a risk of injury to the operator or bystanders.

Consumers should stop using the recalled loaders until the operator's manual has been corrected.

The ACCC says the affected 120R loader operator’s manuals will be updated by placing labels with the correct ballasting information over top of the existing charts with incomplete information.

The product was abalibale for sale between May 1, 2017 – September 30, 2017.

All affected owners on record will be contacted to inform them of the situation and to advise them to contact their nearest John Deere dealer. For help locating a dealer consumers can go to https://dealerlocator.deere.com/servlet/country=AU(link is external)
