RDO Equipment, which recently took on dealership rights for John Deere Construction and Forestry across most of Australia, has doubled down on its commitment to the Australian market with the announcement of two major company acquisitions.

It already held 50% of dealership group Vanderfield and the Vermeer Australia business, but will increase holdings in both businesses to 100%.

At the same time, it is forming a new umbrella brand RDO Australia Group. The new group will have 18 dealerships and more than 500 staff.

The move reflects the brand’s long term commitment to the Australian market and its confidence in Australia’s global position across key sectors including construction.
