CNH Industrial boosts parts inventory ahead of harvest

Harvest season will be made easier with Case IH and New Holland boosting spare parts supplies to an all-time high.

CNH Industrial has boosted its spare parts inventory by 17.5 per cent ahead of this year’s harvest

CNH Industrial, responsible for brands such as Case IH and New Holland, will have more parts available to their customers throughout Australia in preparation for the harvest season, which is expected to reach near-record levels over the coming months.

Since February, CNH has prepared for the harvest and now boasts an inventory 17.5 per cent more than the same time last year, with a major focus on combine and high horsepower tractor parts.

“Very early in the year, we could see the season was going to be one of the biggest in many years,” says Yavuz Sikca, CNH Industrial Head of Aftermarket Solutions for Australia and New Zealand.

“Machine up-time is a key focus for us and with concerns surrounding limited supply and shipping delays due to the ongoing pandemic, it was critical for us to get in front of the game.

Sikca says this will be the second year CNH Industrial has operated its dealer hub program, adding that ensuring good speed to farm will be critical during harvest.

“Building the stock inventory in the master depot was the first step,” he says.

“Over the past few weeks, we have shipped more than $4 million worth of critical harvest parts to 24 strategic dealer locations across the country. Parts can be delivered to farms in hours and machinery up-time maximised.”

In order to deal with the expected demand for agricultural machinery parts this harvest and maintain inventory levels, CNH Industrial has air-freighted more than 100 cubic metres of parts on average.

Additional charter flights have also been coordinated for the final top-up of parts ahead of the season.

CNH Industrial’s dealer hub program is now in its second year of operation and aims to move parts from the national distribution centre to strategically located dealer locations across the country.

Through the program, is it hoped farmers can gain access to parts quickly with dealers able to draw on the centralised supply to ensure a fast response.
