John Deere has released the ZTrak Z945M and Z955M commercial zero-turn radius mowers, which are designed to give professional landscape contractors more power to work with.
The machines have Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) engines – a 27hp (20.1 kW) 824cc model for the Z945M and a 29hp (21.6kW) 824cc for the Z955M.
John Deere says the increased horsepower makes quicker work of common activities, such as material collection, mulching and mowing in thick turf conditions, while the EFI engine improves overall fuel economy.
There are multiple deck offerings:152.4cm side discharge or 152.4cm Mulch On Demand (MOD) is available on both models, while the Z955M also offers 182.9cm side discharge.
Operator comfort has also received an upgrade on the new mowers.
A premium suspension seat on the M and R series machines has a thicker bottom cushion, additional padding on the back with ergonomic contouring, and adjustable armrests.
With an eye for detail, John Deere has also fitted an enlarged and angled fuel filler neck.
“Our customers are hard-working and need equipment that is just as hard working as them,” John Deere Commercial Mowing product manager Nick Minas says. “They demand higher horsepower EFI machines to more efficiently tackle varied mowing activities.
“With the latest additions to our ZTrak mower line, we’re satisfying the needs of our professional customers while providing additional value with increased comfort and ease-of-use features.”
