Kioti’s new 100hp PX 1002 4x4 cabin tractor performed well in a recent field review undertaken by NewFarmMachinery’s test team
The PX 1002 – part of a new range of tractors ranging from 30-100hp recently released in Australia by distributor PFG – was tested at a property at Caramut in south-west Victoria to assess its capabilities in a working environment.
Its performance while cutting hay, spraying, ploughing and front-end loader work gave reviewer Tom Dickson a good insight into how Kioti’s new 100hp tractor will compete in the fiercely-competitive small to mid-size tractor market.
Dickson says the four-cylinder Perkins diesel engine, synchro-mesh transmission with Power Shuttle, 79.2lpm of combined hydraulic oil flow and 540/1,000 rpm PTO with auto shut off combined to give the PX 1002 “all the tools required to drive most implements on a medium-sized property”.

Tom Dickson’s field test of the PX 1002 – which will reveal how it handled a 2.4-metre six-disc mower, 3,000-litre sprayer with hydraulic boom and an 18-plate one-way disc plough – will appear in the following issue, on sale November 25.
