Italian tractor manufacturer Landini has unveiled five new tractors at its dealer conference earlier this week
Held in New South Wales’ Hunter Valley, Landini unveiled the new 4-series, Rex 4, 90F and two Powerfarm 110 high-clearance hydraulic power-shuttle RPS tractors (in a CAB or ROPS).
Landini 4-series
The new 4-series comes in two configurations; a vineyard/orchard model as well as a utility farm tractor. The 4-series features an integrated loader joystick, instructor seat and high-visibility roof.
The modern, spacious cabin has Landini’s latest curved roof design that allows for ‘outstanding’ visibility when working with a front-end loader.
Under the bonnet is the latest Tier 4 engine that pumps out 393Nm of torque; the tractor also features an electronic engine RPM control (EEC) to ensure engine RPM is maintained under varying loads.
In terms of transmissions, the 4 series features a 32-speed transmission with creeper and hi-lo Powershift.
Landini Rex 4
The new-generation Rex 4 vineyard/orchard tractor features a new Tier 4 engine.
It features an innovative smooth flat floor and wide-opening doors to offer easy cabin accessibility.
Its 30/30-speed transmission, with three-speed Powershift ‘change on the move’, is fitted with 16 gears in the critical working speeds between 3km/h and 10km/h. It also offers four-wheel disc braking for increased control on hillsides or when towing heavy loads such as spray carts.
Landini 90F
Packed with a 4.4-litre Perkins engine and a 30/30-speed transmission that offers 14 speeds in the critical 3km/h to 10km/h working range, the Landini 90F is a great value vineyard/orchard tractor. The 90F also comes with fitted front disc brakes to provide greater safety and control when towing full spray tanks.
Landini Powerfarm 110 high-clearance hydraulic power shuttle (RPS)
Landini says farmers with a backpacker workforce will benefit from the new Powerfarm 110 high-clearance hydraulic power shuttle thanks to its simple RPS operation.
The recently extended Powerfarm 110 range comes in both a cab and ROPS variant.
“It’s the ultimate combination of loader tractor and general farm tractor for field work. The power-shuttle and hi-lo Powershift transmission offers 32/16 speeds, including creeper speeds, for the versatility to tackle a wide range of field work and utilise the 416Nm to the max,” Landini says.
