Local and international speakers and delegates will come together in Melbourne for this month’s evokeAG
Innovation and future technology, systems and policy, plus environment and sustainability will be the core threads explored at evokeAG 2026.
The event, which is organised by AgriFutures Australia, is described as Asia-Pacific’s premier agrifood innovation event and this year’s edition will be held in Melbourne.
It will feature speakers from across the agrifood value chain, including several company founders and CEOs.
“We’ve curated a dynamic lineup of speakers from every part of the agrifood value chain – from producers, startup founders, podcasters and investors to researchers, business leaders, government and Rural Research and Development Corporations (RDCs) – to ensure diverse perspectives are heard and real conversations take place across the whole sector,” AgriFutures Global Innovation Networks general manager Harriet Mellish says.
“As we stand on the edge of rapid technological change, evokeAG will provide a platform for unfiltered discussions on food security, workforce challenges, climate resilience, artificial intelligence, sustainability, technology adoption, geopolitics and more.
“The decisions being made now will define the next decade of agriculture, and it’s essential the entire sector is part of shaping that future.”
During the two days, AgriFutures says speakers will delve into important topics such as what are the radical steps for Australia to lead rather than be left behind in the new AI-driven industrial revolution; whether agritech can truly shift the dial when the rain refuses to fall; and how Australian agriculture can weather a new era of volatile, geopolitically charged markets.
It will finish with a popular evokeAG event, the ‘You Can’t Ask That’ session, where a heavy-hitting panel chosen by delegates will take on the sector’s sharpest and most difficult questions.
This year’s evokeAG will also include Startup Alley and Scaleup Street, giving a unique platform to emerging agrifood technology innovators to showcase themselves, along with a Landing Pad that will highlight international startups ready to enter the Australian market.
“The startups selected for this year’s program are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in agrifood innovation,” Mellish says.
“They’re tackling real-world challenges across food production, supply chains and sustainability, while opening new pathways for growth and resilience.
“Their ambition mirrors the energy of the broader ecosystem, and we’re proud to play a role in accelerating their impact.”
Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre will host evokeAG on February 17-18, 2026.
