Making a move on grain transportation

Hoses are an important part of grain transportation, and keeping Australian industry moving

Grain products like wheat, rice and barley are important staples in the human diet.

Australia produces about 25 million tonnes of wheat per annum, which is about three per cent of total global production.

Australian Grains Export Innovation Centre data shows Australia is an important player in global trade, accounting for between 10 and 15 percent of the world’s 100 million tonne global wheat trade.

This 25 million tonnes of wheat is a considerable amount to be transported for distribution for both national and international exportation.

The production and export of wheat is important for Australia, with its storage and transport representing a significant load on domestic resources.

Due to the rate at which this industry operates, appropriate modes of transportation devices need to be in place to effectively move grain products from one destination to another.
