Morris Industries and its machines have built a strong reputation in the Australian market thanks to their strength and versatility, with new investments at the Morris facility setting the brand up for the future.

“Morris is investing strongly in innovative and leading-edge manufacturing processes,” McIntosh Distribution director Cam McIntosh says.

“We saw major investments in new manufacturing techniques, including the use of tube laser technology as well as other processes that will bring precision and efficiency and will really benefit the end user in Australia.”

The new Trumpf TruLaser 7000 allows automated precision cutting to efficiently cover a large scope and size of material.

“This has opened up opportunities for Morris engineers to develop new products and enhancements designed around the laser technology,” McIntosh says.

“It is new technology but done simply – and it will result in Morris’ simple, strong, durable and accurate machines being enhanced even further and taken to the next level.”

According to Morris Industries president and CEO Ben Voss, manufacturing will continue to evolve while incorporating new technologies that will have a dramatic impact on the design of future machines.

“Research and development is a big part of our business and something we invest in continuously,” Voss says.

“We are excited that our customers will benefit from exciting new technology enhancements enabled by the advanced manufacturing technology we are installing.”

McIntosh is also excited by the renewed emphasis from Morris to develop specific products for Australia.

“They are taking a serious look at what the exact requirements are for the Australian farmer,” he says.

“Morris personnel are visiting Australia with increasing regulatory to gain direct feedback from end users.”
