The Farmall has been a staple of the Case IH stable for decades, but new Farmall JXM joins the ranks of the Farmall B, JX, C and U series tractors.

Having operated overseas for some time, Case IH decided to bring the JXM to Australian shores to meet the needs of the hobby and leisure farm market.

Offering a 75hp and a 90hp option, the Farmall JXM is marketed for farmers looking for a hard-nosed utility tractor at a reasonable price.

“The Farmall JXM has the power and performance Farmall owners have come to expect, but in a very cost-effective package,” Case IH Australia New Zealand product manager Seamus McCarthy says.

“It’s suited to all types of farming businesses, whether it be as the hard-working utility tractor in a bigger operation, or the go-to machine in a smaller farm business.

“We think it will also prove popular with local councils looking for a smaller tractor to add to their fleet that’s up to carrying out multiple tasks with maximum efficiency and a minimum of fuss.”

The JXM offers 4WD, and the choice of 2.9/3.9-litre turbocharged and intercooled three-cylinder and four-cylinder Tier 3 FPT engines.

Transmission-wise, Case IH offers a 12×12 mechanical synchroshuttle, 20×20 synchroshuttle transmission with creeper options, or a 24×24 mechanical synchro synchroshuttle transmission with a splitter.

Other features include a 60L/min open-centre hydraulic system, a rear three-point hitch with 2,500kg capacity and a 90L fuel tank.

McCarthy says the JXM differs from the rest of the Farmall range because of its productivity benefits across many applications, but with a more basic operator interface.

“The Farmall B provides these same value and productivity advantages, however the JXM extends these benefits up to 90hp,” he says.

“We think there’ll be a lot of interest in this tractor, with its heavy-duty, compact frame, durable components and plenty of power. It’s great to operate and you know it will get the job done – first time, every time.”

To be officially launched at AgQuip at Gunnedah in August, Case IH will commence distribution early 2019.
