PFG Australia last night held a glittering launch for its new top-of-the-line Deutz-Fahr tractor, at the Melbourne Exhibition Convention Centre, as part of its dealer conference.

The star of the show was the new Agrotron 7250 TTV, a 263hp machine featuring a 6.1 litre common rail diesel, with continuously variable transmission allowing manual, PTO and automatic operation. Equipment includes a load-sensing hydraulic system with a 10-tonne lifting capacity.

Just as significant as the tech features is the new direction with the look of the series, with input from European styling house Giugaro’s Design – better known for its automotive work. The company has also gone to great lengths to upgrade the fit and finish of the cabin to luxury automotive levels.

Deut-Fahr is understandably proud of the fact the 7250 has already won major European Tractor of the Year awards, with  Marketing Manager Karl Gawlik commenting, “This raises the bar for tractors in Australia.”

One example has already been sold and is being shipped to Western Australia, while today dealers will be given a chance to sample the new machine.
