According to PFG Managing Director Craig Maber, some of the models present are not only making their first appearance in Australia, but also on the world stage.

“Australia’s very lucky in that regard and we (PFG) are really leading the way with the Kioti brand,” he says.

“It’s the biggest ever launch we’ve had at PFG.”

Tractor models released at the event range from compact 30hp tractors to top-of-the-range 100hp workhorses.

The new tractors include the compact CK3010 ROPS, the 50hp NX5010 ROPS, the NX5010 cab version, the 76hp RX7620 ROPS utility tractor, the RX7620 cab version, the heavy-duty 90hp PX9020 ROPS, the PX9020 cab version and the largest workhorse on display – the 100hp PX100 CP cab tractor.

Significant improvements on the new tractors include addition of common rail diesel engines, new European power shuttle transmissions, better hydraulic capacity, reconfigured cabins for improved operator comfort etc.

“The new above 70 hp tractors that we’ve released have really been beefed up in the transmission area and a lot of other parts of the tractors…the cabins are quieter, and if people will be doing a lot of hours in it that’s what they’re for,” Maber says.

“We got a mid-range for the hobby farm guys, and even new compact tractors as well, which we think will fill a gap just above our sub-compact and will give people a lot of choice.”

According to PFG, Kioti made the improvements to increase its market share to compete with other big farm names such as John Deere and Kubota.

The three mowers launched at the event include a traditional ride-on and two zero-turn ride-on mowers featuring up to 30 hp engines.

The large-scale event also saw the attendance of the Kioti executive team from Korea comprising of President Soo-Chul Park, General Manager of Sales Kenny Yoon and R&D General Manager BW Gam.

Yoon says the Kioti brand aspires to be a real contender in the global agriculture market.

“We’re at our first steps in entering the world market and we hope to continue achieving that with the Power Farming Group,” he says.

So when can farmers expect to get their hands on the new models?

“We have stock rolling in now,” Maber says.

“As of late this month and next month, we will have most models available.”
