Massey Ferguson releases MF2200 series square balers

Leading farm machinery brand Massey Ferguson has unveiled its newest range of square balers - the MF2200 series to the Australian market.

The range includes four models – the MF2250, MF2270, MF2270 XD and MF2290.

The MF2200 series has been built on the foundation of the MF2100 series with a host of new features added to further enhance performance including a new packer cutter for the MF2250; as well as automatic chain lubrication and OptiForm bale chamber on the MF2270 XD and MF2290.

Bale weighing and AGCOMMAND telemetry are also available as options.

Massey Ferguson Hay Tools Product Manager John Russell says the MF2200 series inherits the superior design features of its predecessors and is capable of not only making dense and well-formed bales but also offering customers reliability and longevity.

“The new MF2270 XD’s bale dimensions and extra density packs in up to 20 per cent more material than the standard MF2270 which means the bales produced are the optimum size and weight for transport,” he says.

“The weight, density and height mean they can fully utilise the capacity of a truck’s entire payload which cuts freight costs and improves profitability for farmers and contractors.”
