Worthington Tractor Parts, Inc. has confirmed that its US wholesaler Parts Express is opening a warehouse in Australia.
Set to start distribution from its new Toowoomba premises late in the third quarter, this will be the first of “a few’ warehouses to be opened in Australia.
Products such as CAMSO track systems, Gulf Western Oils, Redekop Mav systems, cane harvester parts and Chamberlain parts will be distributed to “accommodate the local market”.
“We are excited to get the Parts Express business model operating in Australia,” Worthington Tractor Parts, Inc. president Mike Winter says.
“This will be the first of a few warehouses strategically located throughout Australia, to bring quality parts at affordable prices straight to the dealerships and repairs shops when they need them.”
The decision to expand Parts Express Down Under is part of a global strategy.
“Our goal is to make Parts Express a globally recognized name in the agricultural spare parts market,” Parts Express director Bruce Jacobsma director says. “This operation takes us one step closer to achieving that goal.”
Parts Express product has been available in Australia through sister company Neil’s Parts for some time. Dealerships and repair shops however will now buy direct through Parts Express via the online B2B website or by phone.
“Our goal is to supply the best service we can to the customer, the quality of the products and affordable pricing are key factors in doing this,” Neil’s Parts general manager/director Jason Atkins says.
“Having Parts Express in Australia will expedite the process of providing quality parts, saving the customers time and money in the long run,” he adds.
