Celebrating 30 years this year, the Primary Industry Exhibition (Primex) field days has cemented itself as the premier agricultural event in New South Wales’ north coast region.
The field days is set to make a return to its Casino, NSW site from June 19 to 21 this year.
To celebrate the special milestone, the organisers decided on “The Future of Farming” as its central feature this year. Primex director Bruce Wright says the event has attracted a wide variety of exhibitors who will showcase what is on and beyond the horizon for farmers and associated industries.
“”The Future of Farming will target issues linked to the next generation of farming and farm succession,” he says.
“The presentation will engage leading secondary and tertiary institutions, in addition to youth and industry organizations throughout the country with seminars and workshops involving keynote speakers, networking events and functions.”
Event-goers can also look forward to an Education and Career in Agriculture Expo running parallel to the premier feature.
The event, which was initiated in 1985 and attracted about 3000 visitors back then is expected to host over 400 exhibitors this year and have over 40,000 people stream through the gates.
