Leica Geosystems introduces farm and fleet monitoring solution

Geographical measurement technology company Leica Geosystems has launched a web-based platform to assist farmers in monitoring their fleet and field activities.

Leica _Virtual Vista _platform

The program, called Virtual Vista, allows farmers to pinpoint their
fleet activity within a certain area and time frame with features
such as “geo fencing” and “curfew”.

The initial release of the program delivers a live fleet
tracking solution to customers by combining real time and
historical information with the use of Google Maps, allowing them
to track their fleet in real time as well as view the position
history of their vehicles on a map.

Users are also able to receive optional SMS or email alerts for
when their vehicles are operating out of the desired area or time.

However, interested parties will need to be in possession of
Leica Geosystems’ guidance and display unit, the Leica Mojo3D to operate the new platform.

Current owners of Leica Mojo3D are not required to pay
additional costs or purchase any extra hard or software to start
using the program. All they have to do is register on Virtual
Vista’s website
, follow the prompts and start using the program
immediately.

Already hosting eight language supports, Leica Geosystems will
be adding more features to Virtual Vista moving forward in 2013;
such as data transfer between Leica mojo3D devices via Virtual
Vista.

agricultural solutions website AgGuidance for more information.
