WORX releases new electric limbing chainsaw

Power tool manufacturer WORX has unveiled the new JawSaw, an electric limbing and trimming chainsaw specifically designed for tough pruning jobs around the home or property.

The tool, designed and developed in Australia, is powered by
electricity meaning no harmful emissions and no need for mixing of
oil and gas.

According to WORX, what sets the JawSaw apart from the rest is
its safety features-the chain of the saw is enclosed by the jaw
guard hence protecting the user from the blade altogether.

WORX adds that on top of ensuring users’ safety, the jaw design
also features steel teeth that holds on to the wood whilst cutting,
providing extra stability.

WORX says that unlike conventional chainsaws, the specially
designed jaw guard allows JawSaw to be used to make cuts directly
on the ground without fear of kickback or damage to the chain.

The JawSaw uses a patented Auto-Tension feature – an easy to use
chain replacement and tensioning system that prevents
over-tightening by automatically determining the proper chain
tension.

WORX says an automatic chain lubricator and oil level indicator
also keeps the chain in top condition, ensuring reliability and
performance quality.

Key specifications of the JawSaw are as follows:

  • Electric Output: 240v
  • Power Input: 600W
  • Bar Length: 150mm
  • Max. Cutting Capacity: 100mm
  • Chain Speed: 5.5 Metres/Second

JawSaw RRP: $199.00
