Award-winning Swedish thermal imaging system helps increase milk yield

Sweden based agriculture technology business Agricam has introduced a unique thermal imaging system to aid in the early prevention of mastitis in animal fleets hence reducing production losses.

According to Agricam, the new system-CaDDI Mastitis enables
dairy farmers to detect mastitis, a major dairy cattle endemic
disease, two to three days before.

This allows dairy farmers to prevent the disease before it
attacks their fleet hence improving its productivity.

The company adds the new system also helps reduce the usage of
antibiotics by 85 per cent, helping farmers save up on production
costs.

The innovative technology has been awarded the Newcomer of the
Year at leading Scandinavian agricultural fair, ELMIA.

The system has received positive feedback from Swedish farmers
and is now being launched into the global market.
