John Deere adds to EZtrak Z200 lawn mower range

John Deere has included two new models-the Z235 and Z255 into its existing Z200 zero-turn mowers for household use, which the company says have been redesigned to offer quality cut at a better value.

John Deere says the homeowner models are faster, more durable and more efficient, offering a 11.3km/h operation with a robust belt drive transmission that boosts ground speed.

The frames of both models are also 20 per cent  thicker than previous models, adding to the machines’ durability.

The 180-degree spin feature offers operators maximum manoeuvrability and reduces the number of passes required to mow yards.

John Deere Product Marketing Manager Kim Ridel says comfort and functionality are as important as speed when it comes to doing outdoor yard work.

“The unique comfort features such as larger foot platforms and taller foot rests fit the comfort needs of a variety of customers,” he says.

The cut height of the machine can be adjusted from one to four inches within seconds without the need for users to leave the driver’s seat.

The Z200 series EZTrak come with two mower deck options: a 107 cm (42 inch) deck on the Z235 and a 122 cm (48 inch) deck on the Z255.

Each model comes with the John Deere Edge Cutting System, a patented design that lifts and distributes clipping evenly.

Maintenance of the mowers is easy with a platform that easily lifts, giving operators access to the deck drive belt for cleaning out grass clipping build-up or performing maintenance.

“Celebrating our 50th year in the lawn and garden equipment business, the Z235 and Z255 join a broad line of more than 30 John Deere zero-turn radius mowers for commercial and residential use,” Ridel says.
