VIDEO: GEA introduces unique robotic milking technology

Presented by

Robotic milking is not a novelty in Australia but German farming solutions company GEA Farming Technologies has introduced a new multi-box milking system utilising cutting-edge technologies to help dairy farmers save time and increase milking efficiency around the farm.

The multi-box system, coined MIOne, was on display at the Farm World field days held late last month.

The system utilises some innovative technology such as a 3D-direct camera system to automatically locate the teats and a single robot concept which can run up to five stalls simultaneously.

We caught up with GEA Farming Technologies National Sales and Marketing Manager Patrick Schorlemmer to find out more about the system and how it can benefit dairy farmers
