Polaris slashes Sportsman 500 H.D. RRP

Popular Polaris ATV price reduced to $7495 until August 31 or while stocks last.

The off-road vehicle specialist says the decision to shave $1500 off the ATV’s “already super sharp” RRP is to make way for a new 2014 line-up.

The new models are set to be unveiled at a special event in Washington D.C on July 29.

The Polaris Sportsman 500 was released 17 years ago at a price of $9995, and has been relaunched as a Heavy Duty (HD) version earlier this year in Australia to cater to local terrain and conditions.

The HD version includes extra components such as greasable /sealed ball joints, sealed driveshaft splines and sealed suspension bushings for increased durability and easier maintenance.

They come on top of standard Sportsman 500 features such as a 498cc high output, liquid cooled engine; On Demand True All Wheel Drive, 28.6cm ground clearance, a combined front/rear rack capacity of over 120kg and a towing capacity of 555kg.

Polaris Australia and New Zealand Country Manager Brad Wolstenholme says customers have everything to gain from this special offer.

“This is the ATV that started it all – the first with independent rear suspension, the first with automatic transmission, the first with On Demand All Wheel Drive and the first with all wheel disc brakes,” he says.

“Say what you want about inflation over the years…we have a serious case of deflation here with our customers set to reap the benefits.”
